In addition to being a victorious poet, life educator, spirit mentor, and self awareness advocate, Lyssen has developed a worldwide audience that implores her translation of heavy day-to-day life into life-long wisdom. Glowing with grace, elegance and style at all times, Lyssen continuously provides an amazing interpretation of self and world destruction, with a unique technique that launches solutions through her speech and memoir. Executing her calling through a variety of venues, she has featured with credible poets such as Black Ice, Taalam Acey, Ed Mabrey and many others. She has marked the stage through a national performance with the Hard Rock Café, featured on Philly’s 107.9fm with hip hop activist Lady B, and performed with Poet Bar Mic Check, Vibe Live, and Black Poet Venture’s – Hip Hop Project, Soft&Wet Play, & Conversations Showcases. Taking this craft to a whole other level, she has exposed “Corporate America” to the power of poetry through national motivational presentations of her poems “Prove It!” and ”Soul Searching”. Her work carries on with several underground hip hop artists including the guidance and influence of poetry divisions for independent labels such as Street Poets Society and Rampage, the Lieutenant of Flipmode Squad’s Deep Freeze Ent. Over the years Lyssen’s poetry has inadvertently become a world-wide movement that bridges the gap of speech and harmony and brings back the lyrical significance to the entire culture of music. The responses from the streets have confirmed that the music citizens require more than the sound of beats to be stimulated by the craft. Lyssen’s approach has encouraged several artists, executives, and communities to welcome and develop positive expressions of emotions and mind-sets.
